2019 sped by, and was gone in the blink of an eye. (I’m sure the older I get, the faster time goes.) Chers lecteurs, thank you for taking time out of your day to tune in to the various adventures – on home soil and abroad – I’ve chronicled this past year on La Grenouille Anglaise. Without further ado, here are some of 2019’s most memorable moments.
New year, same me (minus the scaly, eczema-plagued hands). 2018 was a blast, even if I am hurtling towards being a member of the quarter-century club (argh, how time flies!). Globally speaking, 2016 was an absolute train wreck. Suffice it to say that I had anticipated neither Brexit, nor tangerine Trump’s election, nor the seemingly inordinate death toll of A-, B- and Z-list celebrities. All is not lost, however, for as Albus Dumbledore remarks, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
